There's been advertisements popping up all over my screen that really irks me. ): And I don't know how to block them. Stupid pop-ups.
Anyway, Love MG! Haha the pastor was engaging, entertaining, and his message was well organised and thought-out. (: And God's message was clear: "Soar with Me above the storm, be still and know that I am God."
Supper after that with The Mug Group, and man I really enjoy the company. Friends are for life. (:
I'm sleepy, tired and so not looking forward to GP practice paper tmr. Three and a half hours, one essay and one compre, summary and AQ... lets hope my pen has enough ink to last me, at the rate I'm drinking up the ink, I'll be buying refills every two weeks. :X
I really love this song.
Jesus Take the Wheel by Carrie Underwood
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline
It would been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was going way to fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was sooo scared
She threw her hands up in the air
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this all on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight

One more day to the weekend, I'm finally done with my Geog essay, and I'm quite happy with my GP essay outlines even though I only did two out of four. There's plenty more to do, each time I complete something, there'll be another 5 things more to go... the feeling's just so... incomplete and overwhelming.
And I really should squeeze in exercise in my schedule. Come now, Claire, we don't want you getting fatter before A levels end yeah?
I'm looking forward to the 7 month break after As. Then my life wouldn't be just Studying.

sigh why why why, why do you do such a thing. there's no way i can look at you and not feel pain, i can't think when certain images enter my vision.
AIYAR, I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT I CAN DO ANYMORE, I TRIED.
and you, why do you let this kind of thing happen in your school. if AC was really a school, why doesn't it provide the shelter and help and support people need. why, why, why doesn't it.

You took away my innocence. Does that bother you?
Sunday, June 24, 2007
So this morning kinda started out in a mess cos I woke up late! I hardly wake up late on Sundays so it was bad. Haha, try shower up, change, and make up in about 15mins. HAHA. Well after service watched Fantastic Four (haha can you believe it I actually watched it) after breakfast at Cartel. Haha. The french toast made my day (:
School's starting. Sigh I can't believe it. I don't want to go back to school. ):
It's a slow, melancholic night. At least for now, before dinner.
Saturday, June 23, 2007
You know, I think it helps not to think about the amount of work we've got to do or how much we need to study, but just decide on something to do and do it.
Nike's tag line: JUST DO IT.
Friday was spent at Sentosa, with my mum, Christie, my grandfather and the cousins who had a BBQ chalet. It was fun, went on the Luge and Skyride again (yes my grandfather sat the luge too), tanning, watched all the animal shows and Song of the Sea. I touched a monitor lizard, a hawk flew right next to me, and found my birthday present. A cockatoo. Yeah, the white ones with the yellow crest, I am so in love with it. It says "hello". And I'll teach it to say "Claire is pretty" hahahahahhahaha. Beautiful.
And I really liked Song of the Sea too. The water, the fire, oh myyy, it's so so so so pretty! So perfect for a date la. I suppose the kind of date where the guy'll get bored and the girl'll get mesmerised. Cos my cousin was all "the plot's so lame" and I was squealing. It was beautiful. Simply beautiful.
And then today was spent at NTU's dancesport nationals. It was good, Jie and Faiz won the Champion title for Grade D (Cha-Cha and Rumba) and third for Grade C (Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive) and it was amazing. About a month back Faiz fractured his toe and couldn't dance, they didn't rehearse for three weeks, chionged practice during the last week and competed today. God is good.
So now it feels like my holidays have just started, which is quite worrying. Yeah well I feel like I haven't properly had a holiday, been having too much on my mind. I haven't completed most of my homework and it's too taxing to chiong it all in one day. So that kinda sucks. I know, GP is for my own good. But when you don't have that flair for writing, and when you just can't write, I can't describe it - it's the feeling when you pick up your pen, write the question and the date, and freeze up, you can't seem to find the words, and when you do, you can't arrange the words to form proper sentences.
I suppose, no one was really meant to get through As alone. It's quite impossible to, actually. That's what friends are for right?

I am like, so bored.
Wednesday, June 20, 2007
When God says "Enough", He really means enough.
And there's nothing I can do about it.
Not that I'm very happy about it.
But when He says "No", He means NO.
I'm craving Pizza Hut's sweet and spicy drumlets. Bleh. I really really want.
You know, I spent the entire holiday telling myself I'd start on Econs. One week ago, I told myself I'll chiong Econs in the last week. Econs is TOMORROW. And guess what, I still haven't done anything. It's the "everyone else is giving up, so why should I study?" attitude that's really getting to me. And I feel so fed up of going against the flow. So... I dunno man. HAHA, what are the odds of me chionging Econs tonight? GEE, doesn't take a genius to guess.
Drumlets. Drumlets. I am so, so, so tempted to order a supreme, just for the drumlets.

I AM SHITASS FAT.
And today I discovered why.
When I'm stressed, I eat.
When I eat, I get fat.
And as a result,
I AM SHITASS FAT.
Damn it.
Talk about finishing a bag of chips and half a can of pringles, I AM DISGUSTED.
So it isn't a good start to the week. Can't seem to do anymore homework, can't seem to pull myself to study, can hardly get out of bed to go to school. ): ): It's... unmotivating, stagnant and just plain terrible.
There's Math tuition tonight, and again tomorrow afternoon, after three hours of Geog lecture, seriously, my brain's fried. Like a Macdonald's hashbrown. Crispy and golden, good with garlic chilli.
I don't want to do anymore. So far, it's just been a state of -----------------------------
haha, if my heart was pumping like that, i'd be dead already.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
melancholic, really. I can't do anymore. No one's pushing me, I'm pushing myself. It's the I-know-I-can-do-it attitude, the I'd-better-make-myself-do-more-because-I-want-to-achieve-more.
how much more?
that depends.
how much more can i take?
only one way to find out.
yeah baby, push yourself to the limits, and then crash yeah.

Ahh
TROY BOLTON HAS NICE LEGS.
=D Made my day. *gleams*
Sunday, June 17, 2007
I love the way my family eats dinners. We sit at a table, feeling full and satisfied, and joke about all sorts of things until the tables near us get jealous and feel like we re-defined happiness. (:
Seafood Harvest. Haha, I actually preferred Gyu-Kaku, which was right next door, with cool Japanese grill-it-yourself meat. But the oysters were nice, pizza was good, lobster bisque, and hahaha, banana split. My favourite dessert (:
On a more stressful note, it's been three weeks into the holiday, and I doubt I'll be able to cram all my homework into one week. I've got one Geog essay that I can't write cos I lost the question (don't worry I'll find it, soon), Math online learning (shit), Econs, OMG I don't even want to think of Econs cos I still haven't freaking started on anything, bloody hell.
Haha, in my vocabulary, hell must be so, so, so bloody.
I like Paris Hilton's hair. Absolutely gorgeous. Then I look at my short, short hair, and go SHIT. Now why on earth did I cut it.
I've never regretted anything more than not keeping my long hair. If hair grows at an average of 1.2cm per month, by December, my hair will be shoulder-length. Pray tell, what the heck am I going to do with shoulder-length hair on Prom Night? This is so disturbing ): ):
Saturday, June 16, 2007
I can't stay at home by myself. And I took about... three weeks to learn that. Shit. One more week left of the holidays. SHITSHITSHIT.
I'm not inspired, at all, to do any work. The weather's killing me, my eyes are killing me, and I can't get over the fact that by the time I was ready to sleep the rain stopped. !!! >:(
I need a chick flick to watch. You know those really brainless chick flicks that do not require any sort of concentration. My brain's feeling fried. And I didn't do anything today, except to find a newsweek article that looks interesting about women and their careers, but I haven't read it yet. ): And and. We went shopping this morning, my mum bought me Levi's jeans and clothes from Esprit. On days like these I feel so spoilt, and now I shall go find people to study with me tomorrow.
And you, stop making the world your playground.
it's not funny.
Friday, June 15, 2007
So today we sat at the tuition place for four hours straight, I almost died but it felt damn shiok. HAHA. MOS Burger after that and then went to meet my mum at Plaza Sing to run some errands. I think it's time to get started on my work for tonight. Shall try and complete two out of the three questions for my Geog assignment. (: But my Chem is dying. I need someone to do Chem with me. ):
don't be scared of the night -
night means that the sun will come out again,
soon.
sweet dreams, little girl.

Guys, it's been great.
Wednesday, June 13, 2007
I think I've sat in MacDonald's too long. I'm hearing the music, over and over again. This is terrible.
All day and all night
Step out for a bite
Oh gosh.
Tuesday, June 12, 2007
Watched Shrek and Ocean's Thirteen today! It's been awhile since I've watched more than a movie in one day, and it felt so shiok. I liked Ocean's. Damn cool... damn cool damn cool damn cool.
DAMN COOL
Monday, June 11, 2007
Ahh stop stop stop. I'm going to spend like 50 bucks in two days. Bleah. Stupid movie marathon. HAHA, why why why. Why do Shrek and Oceans have to come out at the same time. This is so sucky. Bought a bracelet from Topshop, on impulse. That's what you get when you try to study at Marine Square. Kiku and I ended up at Carls' Junior under the freaking air-con. At least I finished reading another chapter on Slopes.
It's finally beginning (haha, oxymoron) to hit me - how much work I have to do. Sometimes I wonder why I'm taking so many subjects (okay, five subjects is five too many), and when I start thinking about the topics in each subject... and start thinking of how many of those topics I have done, ARGH.
Chem - I haven't started. Because everytime I start, nothing gets absorbed.
Math - I've done... two topics. Brilliant.
Econs - Nothing. Congrats, Claire.
Geog - Haha, I haven't even completed Slopes. I opened my file and found blank notes. ):
GP - HAH. I haven't found any articles. (We're supposed to find one a day, perfect.) And I haven't been finding examples. (Supposed to find two a day, more perfect.) And I haven't even completed ONE essay plan. (That's one a week.)
I feel like crying. I should stop coming online.
And suddenly I find myself wondering why the heck I'm going out again tomorrow.
CRYYY.
Sunday, June 10, 2007
I like it when friends catch up over lunch. The food, the company and the jokes. I like it even better when we get a 15% discount at a restaurant with no service charge. Best part is the free flow of bread dipped in olive oil. And I finished my pork ribs, for the first time. Yeah baby, Cafe Cartel.
Made my day. Cheers, for a better, more productive week ahead.
Start Econs in preparation for the mock on the 21st.
Start Urban Geog in preparation for the killer lectures from 19th-21st.
And it'll be my first 21st, in 8 months, without you.
But I don't regret anything. Cos everything happens for a reason.
Saturday, June 9, 2007
Remembered this from Steffi's lj long ago:
"I wonder, if I had a gun, whether everything will still be so blood-free."
It's odd, isn't it, how everyone judges. Because whether you admit or not, you've judged someone before. And when you think about it, which one of us has a right to judge others? Unless we're better than the other party, we don't have any right to make an opinion on the person. So often we compare ourselves to others, "I'm better than her", "She thinks she's right, but obviously she's wrong", "What kind of example does she set". Ah, fuck off. It's none of your business man. I suppose we all have our own opinions, our own morals, but when your opinion makes sense, it doesn't equate to all other opinions not making sense, you know? That selfish, self-centered attitude of yours, bugs me. You can go ahead and make your world perfect, but I'm happy with the way mine is imperfect, because that means there's space to learn. Sometimes we concentrate so much on practicalities, on how to organise this and that, we fail to realise the essence of the situation itself. The blessings in it. The people. And the impact the event will have on them. Why? Why try so hard to make everything perfect? Why make everything perfect when it will lose it's core? Why not forgo the perfect bit, and let the mood be lighter? You can choose to judge, go ahead, but me, I have chosen to stay out of all this fucking nonsense, and be my happy little self with my notes, textbooks and TYSes. Well you wonder what Christianity teaches people sometimes. I can't answer that.
It's been a little more than one and a half weeks. And after not listening to a song for more than 8 months, it's back on my playlist again. And each time I hear it, my pulse doubles, I stop breathing, and space out for a little while.
You know the funny thing about Math questions? When you complete one and get it correct, you feel a rush of adrenaline that makes you smile and go "YES I GOT IT." But when you get it wrong, or when you get stuck half way, and when you keep getting wrong answers after doing it over and over, you want to throw the pen out of the window, clench your fists and start punching the wall non-stop until you drain yourself out.
Tried converting cos3t and sin3t into tan(3t - PI/4).
wrong.
wrong.
wrong.
wrong.
wrong.
WRONG.
bloody fucking WRONG.

seems like everyone's either mugging or... mugging.
):
DEPRESSING.
Today I was tempted... to go and buy all the DVDs I wanted from Video Ezy. ARGH. And I didn't get a single one! ): I need shows to watch!
Today I also discovered... that I effffffing cannot do Math! I can't manipulate, I can't differentiate, I can't remember all the standard expressions. Math teachers should hand out anti-depressant drugs after each lesson. Maybe that'll help with the stress level. It's not the subject that's stressful, the stress comes from not knowing how to do whatever we're supposed to know how to do. Depressing.
Two weeks left of the holiday. One, if you don't count the last week cos of Geog lectures and Econs mock.
*silence for about three minutes*
Spaced out for awhile. Because I couldn't string words together. I tried to think of what to type next, but all that came into my brain sounded something like: (I'm going to attempt to try and spell it out)
blahalalalablableblableblahhalalalahablahablahablah
yeeee-iyayayayaiyaiyaiyahayahayablaha
sounded abit like tongues, actually.

I need something other than Academics to talk about, and that's partly the reason why I haven't been updating. It's getting boring, when I read my own entries and discover that they're all about studies studies studies. Honestly, my life, is too monotonous. I need to be more disciplined, then can take up more things. Haha, and I need to go exercising too. I am so dependent on swimming on Saturdays. ):
And so, I shall go running first thing tomorrow morning. Before going to JJC to study. HAHA, I shall see if JJC has a better study environment than AC. Well, for one thing, students there are allowed to wear slippers and outside clothing to go back to school. Haha, compared to AC, JJC doesn't seem to worry very much about strangers loitering (or in my case, studying) in their school. So much for security. (: Ah well, we'll see how it goes (:
I need help with Transitional Elements. And I need help with Math. Like, actually go through my workings and find out what's wrong with them cos I can't seem to get answers.
I like holidays. I like waking up at 7am, after the sun rises, having breakfast, reading the headlines, changing to comfortable shorts and shirt, and then starting my work at 9.30am. It's so enjoyable. I wouldn't mind school if it started later. At least then we'd be awake during first period lessons (:
Thinking if I should take SATs. No loss if I take right? Haha, anybody wants to take with me? Then at least I'd get a study partner(: Jan 1st. Think about it and let me know okay? (: (:
For now I'll leave you guys with the Camp theme song. Sounds pretty much like Corrinne May, hahaha, composed by two friends and the recording is really really superb. (: And Clare sings really well (:
Make Us Holy
Music and Lyrics by Jonathan Ong and Clarissa (Clare) Chng
Father turne our hearts to Your Spirit
Calling us to follow Jesus everyday
Help us turn our eyes to the heavens
Set our hearts
On lifting up Your Name in all the earth
(In all the earth)
Father make us holy
Set apart for You
Lord make us holy
Cleanse our hearts and make us new
Let the fragrance of Jesus
Be carried in our lives
Make us holy, Lord
Make us holy, Lord
Make us holy, Lord, like You
We will rely no more in our own wisdom
For Your ways are higher
Much higher than the world's
Lord we bow our hearts now before You
Embracing our weakness
That Your grace might be our strength alone
(Our strength alone)

Argh, Chemistry. ): Doing Transitional Elements tutorial now, and oh my, the notes have so many typos, it's annoying me! And and, it's quite inconsistent too, like some headings are bold and some aren't, I feel like retyping the whole set. ):
I recently downloaded some sticky notes tool, allows me to stick post its all over the desktop, and colour code them, haha, it's damn cute and I'm damn amused. So far I've put up my time table, things to do, things to buy etc etc etc hahahaha. (: (:
Okay, for now, it's back to Chemistry and lunch and then I'm going to pack my messy desk. Three weeks left and I still haven't started my 20 hours. Although this week I need to do 40 cos I missed the whole of last week, that works out to about 8 per day, so far, I have dont about... ONE. :X
Don't Love You No More (I'm Sorry) by Craig David
For all the years that I've known you baby
I can't figure out the reason why lately you've been acting so cold
Didn't you say
If there's a problem we should work it out
So why you giving me the cold shoulder now
Like you don't even wanna talk to me girl
Tell me
Ok I know I was late again
I made you mad and then it's throwing the pan
But why are you making this drag on so long
I wanna know
I'm sick and tired of this silly games
Silly games
Don't figure that I'm the only one here to blame
It's not me here who's been going round slamming doors
That's when you turned and said to me
I don't care babe who's right or wrong
I just don't love you no more
Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, your gone, my fault, I'm sorry
Feeling like a fool cause I let you down
Now it's, too late, to turn it around
I'm sorry for the tears I made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don't love you no more
I know that I made a few mistakes
But never thought that things would turn out this way
Cause I'm missing something now that your gone
I see it all so clearly
Me at the door with you inner state
Inner state
Giving my reasons but as you look away
I can see a tear roll down your face
That's when you turned and said to me
I don't care babe who's right or wrong
I just don't love you no more
Don't say those words it's so hard
They turn my whole world upside down
Girl you caught me completely off guard
On the night you said to me
I just don't love you more

Came back around 7pm last night, after 4 amazing days of rest, rejuvenation and recharging. (: I finally found my 3Re-s. (:
And I know, I can move on, with the love of my God surrounding me. And when Robyn prayed on the last night of camp, she prayed, that I "wouldn't be dependent on the love of man, but the love from God." And that shall be my prayer too.
Camp was great. But for now, it's time to study hard so I can do well and give all glory to God next March. (:
